“Grateful is an understatement of how I feel having the opportunity to work with Mr. Vince Paul and the Talent Depot! My name is Jamaas Britton and I’m a professional actor aspiring to take my career to the next level. I have been acting for about 10 years now and have obtained my Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre and Masters of Fine Arts in Acting/Drama and have been in a series of commercials, short films, and plays of many kind. Through my journey, I realized that although I have been performing for quite some time now, I felt stuck in my career and wanted to expand my horizons. Not knowing how to do just that, based on my own personal beliefs, I prayed on my situation and received my answer when I was cast by Mr. Vince for a commercial. While on waiting on set, he gave me great insight on the business and introduced me to his company, The Talent Depot, where he discussed his teachings on how to advance in this field. By purchasing his talent guide, I was able to have a free one-on-one, 20 minute session with Mr. Vince and I have to say it was very inspiring and helpful for me. We worked on fixing my resume that I had since I was in graduate school and made it much more professional for the types of jobs that I wanted to go for. In the session, I was instructed on changing the details of my previous work, adding and eliminating unnecessary information and skills, and changing the format of my resume all while being explained on why it was industry standard. This was just a cherry on the top and layered on to the knowledge that I received in school. What I appreciated the most was that I didn’t feel belittled or embarrassed by some of the mistakes that I had on my resume and Mr. Vince was very genuine and honest while working with me. I felt safe in that moment, definitely. That 20 minute session made me look forward to working more with Mr. Vince and the Talent Depot even more and I can’t wait to see the change of pace of my career!
